This section needs a total re-do and continual updating following Hurricane Dorian. I will try to updates as I hear of places that are opening. Right now, your best options for souvenirs would be at the airport, The Abaco Beach Resort, Wally’s should be opening soon, and on the out islands, places like Grabber’s on Guana, etc. will have some options for you.
For clothing, Island Girl, next to K&S Gas Station, is open.
I was very happy to read today that Albury’s Sail Shop is OPEN on Man-o-War!
I hope to be able to add more specifics soon….
THIS SECTION IS PRE-HURRICANE DORIAN:
There are a variety of options for purchasing souvenirs in Abaco, from John Bull with fine jewelry to the small souvenir stand at the airport that sells shells and some hand made Bahamian goods. I will describe where to find these, but most of them will also be on the marked map that I will mail you.
Island Girl Boutique is on Front Street – past Snappas, Mangoes, and Curly Tails – on the right just before Regatta Condominiums.
Iggy Biggy is also on Front Street, past the restaurants and on the right.
John Bull and Abaco Gold are on Front Street – continue past the restaurants and they are on the left across from the entrance to the Abaco Beach Resort. T-Zers is located IN the Abaco Beach Resort, right outside the door to Angler’s Restaurant.
There is a Boutique in Wally’s Restaurant building on Front Street.
Mangoes Restaurant has a Boutique in the front with clothing and souvenirs. The sign says they have a gallery, too, but for some reason I have never been there – need to check it out! Mangoes is on the harbour side on Front Street.
Abaco Treasures is on Don Mckay Boulevard. As you approach the traffic light coming from the round-about, you will see Abaco Treasures on your right.
Tropical Souvenirs – not too far from the round-about and on the right as you drive toward town, has island souvenirs. The last time I checked they sold dried Sea Stars – the LARGE star fish that you see in the water at Casuarina Point.
As I said above, there is a small gift/souvenir shop outside the airport, and once our new terminal opens I feel sure there will be a gift shop or 2 inside.
